IT/Systems/Network Engineer

EmailBrain, a leader in email marketing solutions, is seeking for a talented and motivated Systems and Networking Engineer with a solid and in-depth understanding of computer hardware, networking topologies, general security and *nix who can help us scale our Linux/LAMP/Debian operations effectively and efficiently. If you are a Linux or Cisco star who understands how these technologies apply in a business environment with always-up requirements and can serve the needs of a Web-hosted services with 11+ machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-availability, redundant networking infrastructure in multiple co-location facilities.
  • Design and implement scalable system management solutions, where systems boot and set themselves up.
  • Monitor large collections of servers for failures and responding.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for maintenance tasks.
  • Design and execute security test plans
  • Track trends in activity.

Requirements:

  • Education: BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Experience: Minimun 2-5 years.
  • Knowledge of Unix OS internals, NFS, directory services such as NIS/NIS+/LDAP.
  • Experience with routing technologies, preferably BGP routing.
  • Understanding of security concepts and protection methods (denial of service, root kit detection, etc.).
  • A minimum of one year experience writing shell scripts and/or Perl.

Email Marketing Account Manager

EmailBrain is seeking a hands-on Email Marketing Account Manager to join our team of special people. The Email Marketing Account Manager is the contact for clients and coordinates internal company resources in the name of growing client business. In this position, will manage client transitions and maintain regular communication and interaction with clients to ensure that EmailBrain’s technology and services are meeting their needs. You will learn about our clients' needs, identify and capitalize on marketing opportunities, and translate those opportunities into technical solutions or support services with the assistance of other team members. You will make sure that clients are satisfied about their relationship with EmailBrain.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with their email marketing programs, and ensure the timely and cost-effective implementation of those programs.
  • Identify and deliver on additional business opportunities.
  • Coordinate implementation of enhancement projects for existing clients.
  • Work with other team members to deliver the best possible solutions for the client.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients.
  • Evaluate and keep track of the effectiveness and profitability of each of your clients' marketing programs.

Requirements:

Senior Graphic & Web Designer

EmailBrain seeks a talented, detail-oriented individual with strong Web design experience and an online portfolio of relevant work for a Web/graphic design position. This individual will report to the Director of Marketing, and will be responsible for the concept, design and production of online and print marketing materials, email campaigns, Web pages, and other related items. Only candidates with online portfolios will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce brochures, presentations, email newsletters, online ads, tradeshow signage and other sales and marketing tools—for print, online, and multimedia
  • Design and produce graphics and images for print and web.
  • Edit the EmailBrain Web site.
  • Follow the concept and appearance of the existing EmailBrain Web site design and contribute to advance EmailBrain’s branding efforts.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or computer science or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Advanced design skills using industry-standard tools such as Photoshop, Freehand, Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and HTML.
  • Experience with web technologies such as Div/Span tags, CSS, JavaScript, Flash and .NET
  • UNIX, UI design as well as experience with design structure using a content management system
  • Conceptual, technical and working knowledge of design principles (typography, color, layout, motion, etc.)
  • Understanding of the printing process and its requirements for file builds - spot color, 4 color, print specs, etc.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Email Template Designer/Developer

EmailBrain is seeking a full-time Email Template Designer/Developer. This person will be responsible for creating, developing, testing, and deploying Email Templates for use by EmailBrain’s customer base. Strong conceptual skills and the ability to organize, design and produce outstanding email template designs are essential. The individual must have solid web design skills, the ability to break the design into XHTML-compliant code, and follow email design best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with EmailBrain’s marketing, product management, and engineering teams to create, design and build a wide-variety of flexible email templates (for newsletters, promotions, events, announcements, invitations, holiday and seasonal) that can be easily customized (change colors, fonts, add graphics, etc.) and used in vertical markets (retail, non-profits, entertainment, real estate, travel, etc)
  • Convert designs from Adobe Photoshop to HTML (HTML items must be XHTML compliant and include CSS safety techniques) and plain text
  • Build designs into email templates
  • Coordinate and schedule the launch of new templates with the engineering and marketing teams

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or computer science or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 to 4 years designing corporate websites and must have working knowledge of email design.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of email design
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, PHP, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, color theory, image optimization and composition, web browsers and of the web development/production cycle (must submit samples of design and HTML code work)
  • Experience with source code control
  • Ability to tackle quickly and efficiently unforeseen issues that may appear in regards to design and coding
  • Competency working within the Internet space and the main e-mail clients (Outlook, Netscape, Hotmail/Yahoo/Google, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, works with teams or independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment -manage changing priorities and multiple projects that must be delivered on time with high-quality results
  • Familiarity with EmailBrain and its Advanced Editor is desirable
